The Coach and Horses is an unspoiled, authentic village tavern situated in the stunning Hampshire countryside. It boasts a lovely South-facing garden to the rear, overlooking tranquil farmland.
Ian Trow, his family and colleagues have been working hard to revitalise The Coach and Horses, a much loved local pub, since March 2011 and The Coach already has a diverse range of regular customers. The allotment society, school PTA, beekeepers, car clubs, local shooting parties, fishermen and of course the local villagers all regularly use the pub with its heart in the countryside. Walkers, cyclists and horse riders also visit in large numbers to refresh themselves along the way. It is a place where people come together to celebrate – either formal occasions such as small wedding receptions, funeral wakes, birthday parties and corporate functions – or just to celebrate the joy of living, working or playing in the English countryside.
The keenly priced menu is put together using local suppliers where possible, and we are particularly proud to serve quality meat from the village shop in Sherfield on Loddon.
Bright, fresh Hall and Woodhouse Ales are always available on tap, featuring a changing Seasonal Ale.
This is an unpretentious pub, offering good old-fashioned hospitality. The friendly staff and locals (and, in cold weather, a large open fireplace and two wood burning stoves) guarantee a warm welcome to this ‘proper pub’ every time.
